Easter scavenger hunt
Senior Infants enjoyed a fun Easter scavenger hunt around the school and completed some Easter puzzles with their buddies.
world book day
Senior Infants had a great time celebrating World Book Day. We each brought in our own books and enjoyed reading them with our buddies!
Ms Feeney's class really enjoyed reading the story 'A Squash and a Squeeze' . We even created some cute houses inspired by the story!
Pancake Tuesday
There were lots of happy faces in Senior Infants on Tuesday as the children enjoyed delicious pancakes in the classroom! While eagerly awaiting their tasty treat, they kept busy putting their cutting and creating skills to great use by designing and making their very own dream pancakes. The classroom was filled with excitement and plenty of smiles as everyone joined in the fun.
A Snapshot of our work
It’s been a very busy and exciting few weeks in Ms Moss’ room! The children have been working hard across a range of subjects, including Maths, Literacy, Art, and Science.
We explored the story 'A Squash and a Squeeze' and had great fun creating the animals the lady meets along the way during Art. In Science, we investigated magnets and used our own magnets to discover which parts of our classroom are magnetic, with lots of exciting finds!
Maths has been full of hands-on learning. We used our maths manipulatives to explore adding numbers to 20, and used playdough to investigate symmetry in a fun way. We also showed fantastic teamwork while using Maths and Literacy puzzles to practise addition and counting, spelling, rhyming words, and creating new words with different endings.

Reindeer run
The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the reindeer run. It was so lovely to see the parents, hear Christmas music playing and the odd beep of a passing car as we walked along the route! A huge thank you to the parents' association for organising!
A 'Jolly' Trip to the post office!
Senior Infants have been learning all about The Post Office this month. They read the story 'A Jolly Christmas Postman'. They wrote and designed their own Christmas Cards. Finally, we took a trip to Dooley's Post Office, where we purchased stamps and sent our cards off to their lucky recipients. They even earned a lollipop for all their hard work. Well Done Senior Infants!
The late late toy show!
We had loads of fun making puppets of Patrick Kielty with our buddies for The Late Late Toy Show!
SPHE - BÍ CINEÁLTA
Teamwork, creativity & kindness — working together to design our Bí Cineálta posters!
Happy Halloween!
