Harvesting in our school garden
After a long time tending to the crops in our garden, it was time to sample the potatoes, mixed leaf salad, spinach, radishes and spring onions. We learned so much by undertaking this project and our hard work was rewarded with a wonderfully tasty feast! 😁
Thanks so much to Cathal and Emilija for helping the children in Ms. Hogan's and Ms. Hynes' classes with the school garden this year! 👏👏👏

Work continues IN OUR SCHOOL GARDEN
The school garden is keeping 3rd and 5th class very busy at the moment! The many different varieties of lettuce as well as radish and spinach that were growing indoors now have new homes in our ladybird and bee planters! 😊 We are also very busy tending to the potatoes and onions we planted which are coming along nicely. We also staked our tomato plants which are continuing to grow indoors on our classroom windowsills. We are taking great care of the garden and monitoring it daily. Check back here regularly for more updates!
OUR SCHOOL GARDEN
We have begun work on our school garden. We have planted potatoes, onions and spinach in the garden to date. We are also bringing the garden indoors to our classroom and have beetroot, tomatoes, lettuce and herbs growing on our windowsills. We are taking great care of them and monitoring them daily.
