Fun in the Sun!
27-05-2026
Our Junior Infants had great fun exploring the sunshine through two exciting outdoor activities. First, the children became artists, painting the yard with water and watching their creations magically disappear as they dried in the sun. They then turned into little architects, using blocks to build towers and different structures. By placing their creations on paper and using the sunshine to cast shadows, the children traced the outlines to create some fantastic shadow art. It was a wonderful day of creativity, exploration and fun in the sunshine!

Clay Project
09-12-2025
After our clay pieces dried, the boys and girls in Junior Infants added colourful glazes to bring their seasonal designs to life. Under the guidance of artist Niamh Towey, they chose bright, eye-catching colours and painted carefully to make sure every detail was just right. We are so excited to see how they look once they are fired and shiny!

Our Favourite Toys

The boys and girls in Junior Infants had a very exciting day in school! Everyone brought in one of their favourite toys from home to show their friends. They took turns talking about their toy, describing what it can do and why they love it so much. We all enjoyed seeing the different toys and learning more about each other. Well done to our wonderful Junior Infants for their great show and tell!

Clay Project

The boys and girls in Junior Infants have been very busy creating their own clay masterpieces! With the wonderful guidance of artist Niamh Towey, each child chose one of the four seasons - spring, summer, autumn or winter - and designed a clay piece to match. They carefully shaped, moulded and added detail to their creations. We can’t wait to see their beautiful seasonal clay art on display!

Every Thursday, Oscar returns to school with his special buddy to share all the fun and exciting things they have done together. We can’t wait to see where Oscar’s adventures take him next!

Cave Baby Paintings
Our Junior Infants explored the story Cave Baby and learned how early humans used cave walls to tell stories through art. Inspired by the illustrations in the book, the children created their own cave paintings. They loved imagining life long ago and expressing themselves just like the artists of the past!
